It is time to end
the thought of women
as bodies draped too much or too little,
shaped too big or much too brittle
It’s time to end
the use of women
as objects to play, to toy or exploit,
clothed to sell & reduced to a void
It’s time to end
the view of women
as the sex to please or bear children of gold,
first desired & dejected when old
It’s time to start
to see us women
as humans designed to
change & to grow
& to see us as spirits that overflow.
